Hebe is a dance artist and emerging choreographer trained at London Contemporary Dance School, based in South-East England. Prior to her professional training, Hebe studied Cecchetti Classical Ballet with Jane Worsley from the age of 3, participating in The Choreographic Competition, Mabel Ryan and Cecchetti Summer School alongside being a Cecchetti Associate from the ages of 9-18. She received the Lobo Award in recognition of her commitment to Cecchetti Associates and was invited to perform at Cecchetti Day on multiple occasions. Her involvement with Cecchetti Classical Ballet continued during her professional training as she assisted with classes and chaperoned at the Choreographic Competition. The Choreographic Competition holds a special place in Hebe’s heart, somewhere her choreographic voice was nurtured and encouraged, and she feels has greatly influenced her approach to making her own work. Competing at the Choreographic, Hebe was awarded prizes in all the age categories, standout awards include the Richard Glasstone Statue for her Senior Group work Salon Scissorhands, the Susan Handy Musicality Cup and the Laura Payne Solo Cup for her Middle Solo The Dance of the Necromancer. The opportunities to learn to collaborate, tell stories through dance and express ideas creatively are lessons Hebe attributes to her experiences at the Choreographic Competition and has taken forward into her training and professional career.
